UNI EN 1090-1
specifies the requirements for conformity assessment of structural steel and aluminium components used in steel, aluminium and composite structures (concrete + steel).
Components can be used
directly as delivered or incorporated
into a construction work following assembly. The standard applies to
series and non-series components.
All steel structures fall within the scope of this standard and shall therefore be CE marked by the manufacturer.
Example: sheds, shelters, portal frames, fire escape stairs, canopies, etc.
Where welding is involved, this shall be carried out in accordance with standard UNI EN ISO 3834 and therefore with welding procedure and welding operator qualification.
The requested system of assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP) for obtain the
ce certificate of conformity is System 2+.
