WINDOWS AND EXTERNAL PEDESTRIAN DOORSETS
 
Normative reference
Standard UNI EN 14351-1 (Windows and doors - Part 1: Windows and external pedestrian doorsets without resistance to fire and/or smoke leakage characteristics).
 
The requested system of assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP) is System 3, except in the case of escape route doorsets where AVCP 1 is required.
 

Tests
The product characterisation tests to be mentioned on the label include:

• mechanical performance, such as air permeability, watertightness and resistance to wind load
• thermal insulation performance
• acoustic performance

In most cases (System 3), the Manufacturer selects the samples to be used for initial type testing. In order to reduce the number of tests to be performed on certain products, it is possible to split production into families and test a representative sample of each family or what may be considered the most unfavourable combination of its constituent components.
