Revised edition of Istituto Giordano Regulation for Construction Products Certification

Please be informed that on 27 July 2023, revision 10 of the above-mentioned Regulation was published and is now in force.

This replaces previous revision 9 and it introduces several amendments to the certification process.

Please find below a summary of the most significant changes:

• the Regulation has been issued in bilingual form (Italian and English);
• manufacturer’s tasks and control methods for outsourced processes are now specified in detail (2.4.3) (e.g. testing or specific production processes);
• provision is made for a possible request for additional details (e.g. documentary evidence, additional testing/inspection) needed before a decision on certification can be made (2.4.6);
• conditions for maintaining validity of the certificate are specified (2.4.6);
• procedures for handling a refusal to issue certification are specified (2.4.6);
• provision is made for a possible audit at dealer premises when performing activities that could affect the constancy of performance of products (3.2).
